<p><strong>Lentil-Veggies Soup</strong></p>

<p>I mostly prefer wholesome ingredients like spinach, carrots, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, beans, and of course, lentils. You can go ahead and add more veggies if you like.</p>



<p>It is a one-pot recipe. Toss everything in a pot with a tiny bit of vegetable oil and cook the lentils till they are tender and cooked. You can use any oil of your choice, like canola, sunflower, soybean, and others. And there you are, a bowl full of yum veggies-lentil soup. You can customize the dish with all the flavorful spices, but sometimes a little bland is healthy.</p>

<p>The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends washing the used clothes in the warmest water setting. Once cleaned, dry them thoroughly. They also propose using disinfectant and disposable bag liners.</p>



<p>CDC also suggests, if you are cleaning someone else’s dirty clothes or even your own, you should wear disposable gloves and put them for a wash after every use. Then, wash your hands with soap or alcohol-based hand wash. Also, avoid placing the dirty clothes here and there in your homes before cleaning them properly.</p>

<p>Significant brands like Walmart has also stressed on better hygiene, starting by disinfecting the shopping carts and regular cleaning in the high-traffic areas.</p>

<li><strong>Coronavirus is a respiratory virus that is mainly transmitted by droplets from mouth and nose. </strong></li>
<li><strong>It can be transferred by close contact with the affected or when the droplets land on surfaces (countertops, elevator buttons, doorknobs, and switches), which are later touched by other individuals. </strong></li>
<li><strong>Once affected, it enters your cells and triggers the infection.</strong></li>
<li><strong>COVID-19 has a low death rate when compared to the total number of cases in the outbreak.</strong></li>
<li><strong>If there is no pre-existing medical condition, the risk of getting infected is less than 1%.</strong></li>
<li><strong>People with cardiovascular diseases have more than 10% risk.</strong></li>
</ul>

<p>On 11 March 2020, WHO declared <a href="https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Novel Coronavirus Disease</a> (COVID-19) outbreak as a pandemic and reiterated the call for countries to take immediate actions and scale up response to treat, detect and reduce transmission to save people’s lives.</p>



<h1><strong>Situation update</strong></h1>
<p><br />On 24 March 2020, the <a href="https://pib.gov.in/PressReleseDetail.aspx?PRID=1607995" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Prime Minister</a> announced: “In order to protect the country, and each of its citizens, from midnight tonight, a complete ban is being imposed on people from stepping out of their homes.” This nationwide lockdown is effective for the next 21 days.</p>



<h3><strong>WHO Country Office for India support</strong></h3>
<p><br />WHO Country Office for India has been working closely with MoHFW on preparedness and response measures for COVID-19, including disease surveillance, laboratory and research protocols, risk communications, training on infection prevention and control and cluster containment plan, surveillance and tracking of travellers.</p>



<p>&#8220;India’s response to COVID-19 has been comprehensive and robust. Massive efforts have been made towards prevention and containing the spread, including strengthening surveillance, laboratory capacity, contact tracing and isolation and risk communications.
