Beat the Monsoon: Immunity Boosting Recipes

With the monsoon pouring in, everything seems to look more refreshing and colorful. Everyone wants that perfect monsoon makeover, be it for your home, clothing, or health.

So, eating right and good during monsoon is super essential, more when you have COVID-19 doing its rounds.

  • Kadha

Kadha is an Ayurvedic drink including herbs and spices which are typically boiled in water for a length of time, allowing all the medicinal benefits to be extracted. These herbs and spice pacify the Vata and Kapha, stimulate digestion, increase immunity and also detox our body.

Add cardamom, cinnamon, dried ginger and black pepper in water. Boil the content until about 1 cup of solution is left. If you choose to add honey, add before consuming when liquid is warm but not too hot to drink.

  • Ginger Tea

Add some freshly chopped ginger, honey, and tea leaves to boiling water. Finish it off with some lemon juice. Voila!

  • Black Pepper and Turmeric Tea

Add some turmeric powder, black pepper, and honey to your black tea. Quicker than you’d thought!

  • Cinnamon and ACV

Mix a teaspoon of ACV, cinnamon powder, and some cinnamon sticks with lukewarm water. Stir it well and sip it to rev up your immune system.

  • Honey and Cinnamon

Add some cinnamon sticks to lukewarm water and let it soak overnight. Add some raw honey, and there you go, your immunity-boosting tonic is ready!

Or better, do you want some stir-fried noodles or soup, but keep the wellness and nutrient content intact? No problem.

  • Stir-Fried Noodles/Rice

Amp up your noodles base with a dash of extra hemp seed oil along with the regular ginger, garlic, and chili. Add in your favorite vegetables, and stir fry them with your choice of noodles or rice. Didn’t think it would be this easy, did you?

  • Hemp Protein Powder Super Smoothie

Get yourself a big mixer jar, and add all your favorite fruits like banana, berries, etc. You can also add some muesli if you’d like. Then add about a teaspoon of hemp protein powder and hemp seed extract each—blend, blend, and blend. Your smoothie is ready!

  • Hemp Oil Roast Pumpkin

Throw in some hemp seed oil, and decently cut pumpkin to a pan. Stir fry it for about 10 minutes, add some Cajun, Italian or your favorite seasoning, and some salt! Enjoy your meal!
